My Vocal Range

Well, this IS the random stuff place. But i just tested my vocal range and its crazy weird...

I can go from A2 to G4 full voice, then falsetto to Db5 but i don't count that in my range, cuz falsetto is for weaklings :P

WIERD. lol.

Interesting...rather then weird. I noticed you used falsetto twice, a word that comes into your vocab a lot?

Is A2 the A an octave and a minor 3rd below middle C? If so then I thought that was a pretty typical range for a second tenor; I don't get what's so weird! (That's more or less exactly the same range as mine, btw, but I only ever sang in a choir.) You can extend your range in your chest voice upwards a bit with practise, although don't go straining for it or you can damage your voice. I don't know if you get singing lessons or not but a teacher would be able to help with that if you wanted to get more of an operatic range going on.

But yeah, a range of about two octaves is very normal.

My vocal range is D2 to Ab4, but around Eb4 my voice takes on a completely different tone from the low notes. I've sang everything from the low bass to the high tenor parts in musicals. Range isn't everything though, or else I imagine I'd be cast in much more significant roles than I have in the past.

I'm not dumb guys, I have a voice teacher and she commends me on my high notes and I breathe properly to hit the notes. I can't sing comfortably past the Eb4 and comfortably singing my low Bb2 is the only note that i can get a tone out of myself. And yes fatnat, thats right. Also, I'm a first tenor, not a second...I thought typical tenors can hit G2? Whatevs.
